Good Luck Delegates! Reminders, Resources, and Conference Schedule

Hey delegates!

BMUN is just two days away! That being said, we’re here to provide you with a run-down of the conference schedule, reminders, and other resources. For any questions, please comment below or email us at unhrcbmunlxx@bmun.org.


Reminders:

  • Review your position paper feedback. Please email us if you cannot access it on Huxley, and we will email you a PDF with our comments.

  • Bring paper/notebook and writing utensils (pens and/or pencils). This will be helpful for notes and amendments, as our committee is Unmod Tech.

  • Prewritten clauses are allowed, given our committee is operating on THIMUN procedure.

Schedule:

Friday, March 4

  • 2:30 to 3:30 pm — THIMUN workshop at Anna Head Alumnae Hall. Be sure to check out BMUN’s conference schedule for campus tours and other workshops you may be interested in!

  • 4:45 to 5:00 pm — Line-up for Opening ceremonies at Lower Sproul Plaza. 

  • 5:00 to 6:00 pm — Opening Ceremonies at Pauley Ballroom (in ASUC Student Union/MLKJ).

  • 6:00 to 6:45 — Dinner; bring a sandwich or something quick ahead of time!

  • 6:45 to 7:00 pm — Committee meetup at Lower Sproul Plaza. Look for Alaina, one of our UNHRC chairs!

  • 7:00 to 10:00 pm — Committee session 1 at Hearst Field Annex A1. Topics A and B will be discussed simultaneously during lobbying. All resolution drafts should be submitted by 10 pm.


Saturday, March 5

  • 10:00 to 10:15 am — Committee meetup; location TBD, but you can also go straight to our committee’s room (Hearst Field Annex A1).

  • 10:15 am to 1:00 pm — Committee session 2 at Hearst Field Annex A1. Begin debating resolutions.

  • 1:00 to 2:30 pm — Lunch; opportunity for individual feedback.

  • 2:30 to 5:45 pm — Committee session 3 at Hearst Field Annex A1. Committee feedback and continue debating resolutions.

  • 6:00 to 6:30 pm — Head delegate meeting at Tilden Room (Student Union/MLKJ).


Sunday, March 6

  • 8:45 to 9:00 am — Committee meetup; location TBD, but you can also go straight to our committee’s room (Hearst Field Annex A1).

  • 9:00 am to 12:00 pm — Committee session 4 at Hearst Field Annex A1. Finish debating resolutions; College panel with the Chairs if there is time remaining.

  • 1:00 pm — Line up for closing ceremonies; location TBD.

  • 1:30 to 3:00 pm — Closing ceremonies at Lower Sproul Plaza.
