I wanted to share with you an article from BBC regarding current developments in Xinjiang.
The article talks about how China, host of the 2022 Winter Olympics opening this week, has treated Xinjiang and Uyghurs as recent calls against their human rights abuses and diplomatic boycotts of the Olympics have emerged from countries like the US, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, UK, Canada, and Japan. Meanwhile, the article also calls attention to international corporations actively continuing or expanding their business into the Xinjiang area.
I highly encourage you all to check out the articles, think about the reaction of your country, and comment below on what you think the role of governments or large corporations should be in light of these recent events.
